ABILITIES:
Skye is in the process of discovering he has a particular talent for darker magic, much to his chagrin. As of his canon point he is aware that he is good at curses and hexes and is reluctantly pursuing this because his dad is forcing him to.

He has the potential to:
Manipulate, control and otherwise fuck around with the undead, demons or other dark forces. He has not fully realized the full extent of this yet, and may be sort of horrified to learn that this is the talent he's stuck with.

All of his magic is more effective when cast through music.

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?: He was raised sort of lower middle class by his mother who made a living by doing charms and divination for the normies in their small town. He was perfectly content with this, however it all changed after she died (mysteriously) and his dad's family swooped in to claim him. It turns out his dad's family is super wealthy and super sketchy and into some deeply questionable shit, which is why is mom bailed when she realized she was pregnant. So, as of his canon point, he is in the process of being introduced to the world of wealth and status and has a lot of mixed feelings about it, because he doesn't trust his dad at all but also what the hell else is he supposed to do? With his mom gone he doesn't have anyone else and it's really hard to say no to his dad's family (he wishes he knew how his mom got away from them, to be honest).

WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?: Music! At least when he was going to normal, non-magic schools. He actually believed for most of his life that he didn't really have much magical talent because he sucked so bad at his mom's protection charms and other lighter forms of magic. He ended up falling in love with music and was perfectly happy to focus on that. Now that he's being forced to study magic he's kind of in the process of catching up and figuring out where his real magical talents lie. He's extremely frustrated about it all and wishes he could just keep pursuing music, honestly.

WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR CHARACTER?: Finding out that he's apparently the bastard son of very wealthy, very scary family.
